Fun with Auntie Kelli

My mom, grandma, Justin and I watched the 5 kids so that Jill and Mark could go on a date to the temple last night. It was there first time back to the Oakland Temple since they married there 9 years ago this month. What an adventure that was! 5 kids under the age of 7! We had a lot of fun though.

We watched Elf, had a dance party, did makeovers, and made cookies. I finally won Tyler over by sharing my cookies with him--shhhh...don't tell Jill!

He is a moose to hold. I gave him the nickname of "Mr. T" along with the quote, "I pity the fool who has to carry me!" Seriously, he is one solid child! But he loves his Auntie Kelli!

I promise I was watching Tyler--watching him crawl around with the car in his mouth! He is into biting because of his teeth. It's always funnier when it is not your kid!

VIP Day

Tuesday was Parker's Grandparent/VIP day at his school. This year we were lucky enough to have Haylee and Papa Tom come to celebrate. The second graders sang songs, did crafts, played games, and colored with their guests.

Notice anything similar about these two?!?

Spencer had fun drinking from Papa's water bottle. He has gotten to the point where he recognizes cups, water bottles, and straws and insists on drinking the water. Papa was a good sport and was more than willing to share with our drooly baby.

Pizza! Pizza!

My sister, Jill, always comes up with these fun and creative activities for our kids to do. On Monday, we got the kids together after school let out to make cookie pizzas.

They had so much fun shaping the dough, frosting the giant cookie, and decorating with the candies and sprinkles.

The babies spent time playing with Grandma Vicki and the toys.

Legal in Kentucky

We were spying on the kids while they were playing in my parent's backyard and this is what we saw. Too cute!

That's My Family

Jill and Mark arrived on Saturday night. We spent the evening around the fire pit roasting hot dogs and marshmallows for smores. Eating, its what our family does best. Here's the proof!

It's About Time!

We've been wondering when Fall was finally going to get here. We went most of November with mostly pleasant and warm days to the point that Parker was still wearing shorts to school up until last week. The leaves finally turned and we've been cold for a couple of days now. Parker and Justin had their annual leaf fight in the backyard this past week. It is something they have done every year we have lived in this house.

I Am Officially 30

So, my 30th birthday was this past July, but I officially became 30 a couple of weeks ago when I found my FIRST gray hair!!! It was the afternoon of my hair appointment and I was washing my hands when I glanced up at the mirror and noticed a shiny blonde hair. Keep in mind I hadn't had my highlights done yet. Imagine my surprise to find that it was not a blonde hair, but a shiny silver one. I grabbed the camera once I finished screaming and did my best to document it before I plucked the evidence out of my head. Turning 30 was weird enough. Dealing with gray hairs is down right depressing!!!

Halloween Hangover

We are suffering from a Halloween Hangover. After all the parties, cupcakes, caramel apples, candy, trick-or-treating, and festivities, it all came to a crashing halt Saturday morning. We all woke up from our diabetic coma induced sleep and realized that yet another Halloween had passed. Here are some pictures of just a few of the things we did.

The night of the Ward Halloween Party

At school Halloween morning with Parker's clone trooper friends CJ and Joey.

Trick or treating at Grandpa and Grandma Cycles

The treats!

Pumpkin Carving

Here are our pumpkins from this year. We had a skeleton, bat, and a BOO pumpkin (which was the easiest to make--we just used a drill to make the holes.)

4 Month Appointment

Spencer had his 4 month check up a week ago. He is right on track with where he is supposed to be. He weighed 14 lbs. 7 oz. (50%), his head was 17 (75%--looks like he may have conquered the Bacciocco curse of 95%), and was 26 inches long (95%). We started him on solids, which surprisingly he loved, but they seem to be a little hard on his system, so I am going to wait a couple more weeks before I give it another try. He loves drinking from his sippy and laughs when we give him the rice cereal. He also grabs your hand to hold the spoon in his mouth because he wants to eat the food. We've also got him in the highchair which has solved our fussy problem at dinner. Spencer just wants to be up with the rest of us--he doesn't like being left out.

Here is some video of the other night. I would smell Spencer's feet and then tell him he had stinky toes. He was cracking up!
