Baby T

Here are the latest pictures of my favorite nephew, Tyler Mendoza.

Best Friends

Parker had a rough night, so this morning before leaving for work, Justin brought him in to sleep with me. This is how we woke up--Bear, our Daschund, was snuggled right up next to his buddy fast asleep.

Mommy's Little Piggies

Cabin fever is no fun! After being down all week with the flu, Parker and I got the chance to spend a few glorious hours basking in the warm California sunshine. We spent the afternoon playing with some friends. The kids started out building rivers and trenches...but when you mix dirt with water, who can resist?!? They had so much fun sliding head first in the mud and all of them managed to end up completely covered from head to toe. Parker claims "It was the best day ever!!!" Oh, to be a kid again!

Play That Funky Music White Girl!

Tonight I got to live out one of my dreams--being a DJ for the Stake youth dance. It's the third time I've done it in the past 18 months, so I was a little more prepared for what to expect than I was the first time. It was fun to be with my young women again and to have access to Jeff Krey's laptop with 5,000+ songs. I love music and miss the good old days back in college when we would spend hours squeezed together in the bathroom getting ready for a dance. These kids in our stake love all genres of music, so I even had requests from stuff back from my time. It is amazing how just hearing a few notes of a song can instantly take you back to a memory! It's a good thing my belly is growing or else I may have embarrassed myself by dancing to "Ice, Ice, Baby." My moves are gone--I officially dance like a mom now! Next time, I need to fly my sister out so we can show off some of our moves from our "Bacciocco Sisters" days. Angelia and Caro--I thought of you during the Aquabats "Super Rad!"

I Can't Help It...I'm Italian

I have a new rule...mom's should not be allowed to get sick. I have been down with the flu for almost 4 days now and it has not been pretty. All of my girly secrets are out. After 48 hours of not showering, Parker discovered that mommy can have hairy armpits just like daddy. He was so thrilled by this discovery and said, "Mom--you have hair in your armpits! Let's explore!" The poor kid has lost his innocence!

Viva Mendozas!

Here are the latest pictures of my nieces and nephew (Haylee (5), Emma (3), and Tyler (1 month) taken during my mom's visit a couple of weeks ago. We are hoping to head down to Phoenix for the blessing in March.

While there, my mom and my Grandma Lloyd were introduced to the Wii. Evidently Grandma was pretty good and even came up with a victory dance!

In My Spare Time

It is finished! This was my mom's old dining room hutch that she passed down to me. It was oak with mirrors and beveled glass and screamed late 80's/early 90's. So with a little paint, some updated hardware, a sheet of beadboard, and a little bit of chicken wire, not to mention some sweat, I now have an updated piece of furniture for about $150 dollars! Someday I will get to the point that the majority of our furniture isn't hand me downs! It feels good to see it done and will be nice to have the garage back. Now I can start working on the nursery...

Our Miracle Has Arrived!
