Wolf Badge

Parker just completed his first year of Cub Scouts. He was presented with his Wolf Badge, Leave No Trace Badge, and World Conservation Badge at our Blue and Gold Dinner last week. Justin and I have really enjoyed working with the scouts. It got a little crazy at the end of the year when we had 17 boys in our group, but we have now moved on to Bears and have only 4 now. Parker presented me with my mother's pin. We are so proud of our scout!

Following in His Mother's Footsteps

Spencer's new favorite toy--the vacuum. He likes to get his vacuum out when I vacuum. Now, if only his really sucked up stuff...

Hail Yeah!

Brentwood was treated to an unexpected hail storm this afternoon. I have never seen so much hail in my life. I grabbed my camera and Parker and I headed outside. Justin pulled up about 20 minutes later to join in the fun. He had been out running errands and didn't even know it had hailed! It was the closest thing to snow we will probably ever see here.

And to the Victor Go the Spoils

By now, most of you know what a germaphobe Justin is. Well, you can imagine how he felt about watching this...

Spencer found an old lollipop and decided to share with Bear. Knowing a good thing when he's found it, Bear traded Spencer the lollipop for his chew stick.

Spencer realized what he had done and wanted his lolly back, so he tried to do a switcheroo on Bear, but Bear was having none of it.

A small tug of war took place.

Spencer came out victorious.

Or did he?!?

Temple Lights

We went with our friends, the Grays, to see the lights at the temple.

Spencer's favorite part was trying to climb into the fountain, despite the freezing temperatures.

Parker's favorite part was being with Derick...oh, and seeing all the Book of Mormon's in the visitor's center--they had a copy of every single version that is available in print.

My favorite parts were watching the kids: Olivia and Tay-tay fighting over who got to push Spencer; Tay-Tay trying to climb over the monument in attempts to fall over the cliff. The fun never ends! FAMILIES ARE FOREVER!!!

Round Valley

Here are some shots I took of the boys at a local park. Little Spencie would not sit still for anything, but he did look cute in his hat.

Parker is growing up way too fast. He is so tall and comes up to my collar bone when I hug him! He will be 9 next month! Where has the time gone?

This is my favorite shot of Spencer. It captures the moment and his little face so well.

Disneyland--It's the Happiest Place on Earth D@#$ It!

And this picture sums it all up. Just kidding! For Christmas, my parents took the grandkids to DL. We actually went a couple of weeks before the 25th to avoid the crowds. We had a wonderful 5 days together. It was so fun watching the kids together.

We saw Mickey as soon as we entered the park. Spencer loved him and was blowing kisses to him as we walked away.

We rode Dumbo first in memory of Auntie Lauren.

We caught Parker and Haylee holding hands while walking through the Haunted Mansion. Hopefully they will out grow this in the next couple of years or else we may be moving to the South.

Meeting Chip and Dale

Watching the Parade

Seeing Mickey in California Adventure

Riding the Tower of Terror

Parker's favorite rides were Space Mountain, Tower of Terror, and California Screamin'.

This is the castle all lit up at night. The fireworks show was absolutely magical. Afterwards, it started to snow. It was a great way to celebrate the Christmas Season!
