Tanks for the Memories

This past Sunday was Justin and Parker's first week back to church since Spencer's arrival. In Primary opening exercises, the children were asked if they had anything exciting to share. When Parker was called on, he excitedly stood and exclaimed, "We found a turtle!" Expecting a baby announcement, everyone got a good laugh. When asked if there was anything else he wanted to share, he said, "Oh yeah, we also had a baby."



We found the turtle, a fully grown (11"+) red ear slider, while driving to my parent's house last week. He was randomly walking down the sidewalk, so we picked him up and took him with us while we figured out what to do with him. Parker and Papa Tom quickly named him Tank because he ran over everything in his path. Tank joined our family for a few days before we returned him to the local creek where we think he came from. Parker was sad to see him go until Tank bit him.
