One of my favorite things about summer in Brentwood is all the toads and frogs that are around. There is nothing like opening your windows at night and feeling the cool Delta breeze while listening to them down by the creek. Justin happened to find a toad in our backyard the other night and it kept the boys entertained while we sat on the front lawn.

Toadally awesome!
we have bagillions of frogs and bullfrogs in the pond. they all go hopping and croaking out of our way as we approach and i still get sentimental when i hear them chirp out their surprise at our arrival. so many wonderful summer memories with frogs! not so many with toads-mostly the ones i see around here are mummified and tire-flattened. not too bright, those poor fellas.
