In My Spare Time

It is finished! This was my mom's old dining room hutch that she passed down to me. It was oak with mirrors and beveled glass and screamed late 80's/early 90's. So with a little paint, some updated hardware, a sheet of beadboard, and a little bit of chicken wire, not to mention some sweat, I now have an updated piece of furniture for about $150 dollars! Someday I will get to the point that the majority of our furniture isn't hand me downs! It feels good to see it done and will be nice to have the garage back. Now I can start working on the nursery...

Looks really nice. I have a hutch that looks about the same and I've wondered if there isn't some way to update it, so what kind of paint did you use on it? Did you have to sand it?

Wow! Seriously, watch out, Martha! How do you have time to actually accomplish big projects like that being prego? I think you may be my new hero!

Wow! I'm impressed. That looks sooo good. Want to come to Hawaii and redo some of my mom's stuff?
